By the way, don’t forget the Lanvin for H&M collection is out this weekend!
One of my favorite reasons to adore fall is that we can finally wear all our cute boots! From ankle to mid-calf and knee-high varieties, I don’t discriminate. I just loooooooove boots. This season is all about thigh high and over-the-knee boots which I’ve blogged about in the past. But for some reason this is one trend I’ve noticed most are scared of.
Sure, if you do it wrong you’ll totally end up with the Pretty Woman effect. And even when I wear my very new and very favorite gray Sam Edeleman over-the-knee-boots, I’m always met with the following expression:
Blank stare
Puzzled look
Eyebrow wrinkle
and then…
“Cute boots.”
They’re versatile, and they’re amazing. If you’re afraid it’s too agressive, try a flat boot similar to some of the pairs pictured below. Wear them with jeans, leggings, tights, skirts and dresses too. Just be sure you aren’t showing excessive amounts of skin so you aren’t mistaken for a streetwalker.
Look there’s no real other way to say this other than, this is kind of a big deal. You’ve probably heard by now that Lanvin is designing a line for H&M, to be released on November 20th. And even though we’ve been snubbed for designer collections in the past, it won’t be happening this time! You’ll be able to pick up your Lanvin for H&M threads at Scottsdale Fashion Square‘s store come November 20th. Yes, you’ll probably have to line up. Maybe overnight. Like I said, kind of a big deal.
The store will be opening at 8am for devoted fashionistas to pick up their Lanvin wares. And honestly, why shouldn’t you? Have you seen this collection? Amaze. This video is positively lust-worthy.
It’s a bit on the pricier side, with some pieces ranging up to $349. But considering Lanvin pieces regularly retail for much much more, it’s still rather a steal.
What look are you coveting? Will you be lining up the night before to score some Lanvin for H&M?
Scottsdale Fashion Weekkicks off tonight with the wearable artwalk at the Scottsdale Waterfront. The final lineup of events is below; If you’re only looking to attend a select few and unsure which, the don’t-miss shows are bolded! You’ll also be able to see fashions from Scottsdale Fashion Week’s Designer of the Year, Rebecca Turley.
You can buy tickets here. And you can see the breakdown for ticket structure here.
On a sidenote, I’m excited to see that the break between shows is much shorter than in year’s past. Hopefully this will help keep everyone at the shows and not get stir-crazy as I’ve seen happen before.
