I’ll admit, I don’t always follow beauty trends. After all, there’s only so many “looks” I feel I can pull off and a natural, classic look will never go out of style.
But one beauty trend I can’t help but be drawn to as of late is stick-on makeup. And no, I don’t mean temporary tattoos. I mean peel it off just like the stickers we played with as children and stick it right on our faces. Lazy? Maybe. Genius? I think yes.
Here’s a peek at some of the latest stick-on beauty buys.
Nail decals

Sally Hansen Nail Effects
Honestly, these are quite genius. I’ve tried the Sally Hansen Nail Effects Nail Polish Strips and absolutely love them. They’re fairly easy to apply and can be done in under 20 minutes. And for someone who is prone to goofing things like this up, I manged to get them all almost perfectly.

They come in cool patterns and solid shades too
Beauty tip: Use nail polish remover pre-application and layer a coat of clear polish over the strips so they last extra long!
Stick-on eyeliner

Dior Velvet Eyes. I want.
I never thought I’d see the day that there was stick on eyeliner strips but boy am I so excited to try this out! I cannot for the life of me master a cat eye; if you can’t either Christian Dior’s Velvet Eyes save the day. They’re a bit steep at $55 a box, but they come with 4 designs and can be reused. If you’ve tried this before and love or hate them, please leave a comment below!

Lip tattoos

Violent Lips
Looking for the ultimate stay-on-kisser? Try Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos. They come in several colors and funky patterns too that are good for Halloween and…well, I’m not sure what else really. Maybe filming a music video? I’ll leave that up to you.

Perfect for Halloween. Otherwise...I'm not sure
Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos include three decals per box. I tried them myself and found the bottom lip is much easier to adhere than the top. It’s a good thing they come three per box as for me, it wasn’t the easiest to apply and I’m not a fan of how “cracked” they made my lips look. But from far away, you can’t tell at all.
If you can get it to look like the image above and looking to sass things up for Halloween, go for it!
What do you think? Have you tried any of the above? Are you excited for easy-to-use stick-on makeup?

Fake eyelashes at the gym totally freak me out. I can say this because it hasn’t been just once, but multiple times I’ve seen this.
Ladies, I know there’s some pressure to look good at the gym. You’re sweating. There’s guys. Trust me, I get it. But caked on makeup and fake eyelashes is not a good look for you at the gym. Or anywhere for that matter. So how do you look good at the gym? Like all the beauty experts say, it starts with beautiful skin!

Thick foundation, false lashes and giant hoop earrings are not a good look for the gym
1. Wash your face
Thick foundation+sweating is going to equal nothing but a big gross mess and clogged pores. Then you’ll really be wanting to cover up all those breakouts. Do yourself a favor and take the time to quickly use a makeup cleansing wipe to take off excess foundation. It’s not a good look to see a girl carrying a towel that’s covered in beige makeup goo.
2. Exfoliate weekly
This will help get rid of dry, dead skin cells revealing beautiful skin. Then, you won’t even sweat it (no pun intended) when you ditch the foundation for a good workout.
3. Try concealer
Not wanting to let go of the foundation because your skin is less than perfect? Try using a bit of concealer instead. I dab a bit under my eyes when necessary or to hide any unsightly marks. Just be sure to not pile it on as I promise, it’s not necessary.
4. Use a ponytail
It still boggles my mind how many girls I see at the gym with long flowy hair extensions down their back, sans pony. Ladies, you aren’t fooling anyone. How much of a sweat could you possibly be working up with a Rapunzel-like mane drowning your neck? A guy would much rather see a girl breaking a sweat than the girl walking along the treadmill too scared to mess up her hair.
5. No hoop earrings
Do I even have to elaborate? Leave the jewels at home please. It’s a gym, not a club.
6. Try mascara
I have a hard time going anywhere without any mascara, I look dead without it. Instead of applying eyeshadow and eyeliner, try a bit of mascara if you don’t want to look like you’re falling asleep. It isn’t going to clog your pores like foundation and will help you look more awake.
7. Stop caring
From your outfit to your workout routine, choose something that makes you feel comfortable and just stop caring! Seriously, just remember Honey Badge, he don’t give a….
Everyone is there to get a good workout and sweat it out just like you, so stop worrying so much about what you look like and enjoy your gym time!

When I travel, I tend to pack an absurd amount of things. I’m positive I’m not alone on this. After all, there’s just about nothing worse than reaching your destination and craving that one shirt you just so happened to not pack.
So when it comes to my makeup and beauty products, I try to go minimal so I can maximize the space for more outfits. Once you’ve determined what to pack for that vacay make some time to focus on your beauty products. Here’s my favorite four beauty products for traveling.
1. Bumble & Bumble Dry Shampoo

This teenie bottle packs quite the punch
When you’re traveling, toting around a huge blowdryer and taking the time to bother with a wash every day is a total pain. I like to start my trips by checking into one of the Valley’s blowdry bars like DryBar or Park Avenue Blow Dry for a blowout that will last me a good two days. But a longer trip like my European cruise requires some hair powder. For everyday use, I’ve recommended Tresemme Dry Shampoo but for special occasions, nothing beats Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder. And, it comes in the cutest travel-friendly 1 oz. size.
2. Oil blotting sheets

I’ve mentioned Too Faced and Clean & Clear oil blotting sheets in my list of 5 summer skincare secrets and there’s good reason! They get the job done and are a travel essential since you’ll be exposed to a completely different kind of climate.
3. Lather Shine Control Face Lotion

When you live in the desert, pretty much everywhere else is considered somewhat humid. That’s why a shine control lotion like this one from Lather is an essential to pack. It’ll help combat oily skin so you’ll have less photoshop retouching to do later.
4. Anything from 3floz.com

If you aren’t familiar with the website 3floz.com let me enlighten you: it’s chock-full of beauty goodies, all under travel size regulations. That’s under 3 fl. oz. or less! You’ll find awesome brands like Murad, DDF and Phyto. It’s also a great way to sample new things for the comittment-phobe.
Travel tip: I actually keep all my travel size beauty essentials in a Too Faced cosmetics bag so whenever I’m going on vacay, it’s already packed and ready to go!

I promised this post to a friend of mine a few months ago and though I’m a little (a lot) late, I’m finally getting to the topic. Any trip is complicated to pack for, even with my guide on how to pack for anything. But what about when a cruise is involved?

MSC Fantasia
I’m off this week to Europe aboard an MSC Yacht Club Cruise that will be taking me to Genoa, Marseilles and finally, Barcelona. Of course, I’m stoked to see the cities and so in need of a little European getaway. But I’m also wondering, what the heck should I wear?! If you’re planning your first cruise anytime soon, you may want to check your cruiseliner’s site for dress code suggestions. Many will breakdown what’s appropriate and what’s not. Some of the finer dining rooms, for example, won’t allow denim or shorts. But you wouldn’t do that anyway, would you? Of course not!
Here’s a quick cheat sheet on what to wear on a cruise vacation that should have you covered, no matter what the dress code.
1. Resort wear

Flowy linen pants are always a cruise "Do"
Forget about denim, think flowy maxi dresses and skirts, summer dresses, and casual wide leg pants for resort wear chic. Traveling in the fall like me? Bring a little cardi to cover up as it’s likely to be breezy and chilly at night. Resort wear is great for touring the cities and daytime ship wear.
2. Swimsuits and coverups

A coverup and sandals make this a cute look to walk around the ship
If you’re hitting the pool or having a beach vacation, be sure to pack plenty of swimsuits and coverups. You don’t want to be walking around the boat in just a swimsuit; a cute skirt or print tunic is the perfect accessory. Don’t forget your sunglasses, a hat and plenty of SPF!
3. Evening attire

Not feeling a cocktail dress? Wide leg pants are always chic
Most cruises have a “formal” evening and many have dining rooms that won’t allow daytime as part of their dress code. Be sure to pack a few cocktail dresses or summer dresses that can be transitioned to evening. It can be as simple as swapping out your sandals for some wedges and a cute clutch. If you aren’t feeling a dress, bring along some dressy pants which are always in style.
4. Sight seeing outfits

A maxi dress is practical and stylish
Think you can’t be fashionable while touring the sites? Think again. Forget the sneakers, T-shirts and fanny pack look (not that you would have). Instead, try some comfortable sandals, riding boots or maybe even a cute pair of Chucks. You can pair these shoes with stylish yet practical outfits like leggings, jeans and summer dresses.
What do you usually pack for a cruise vacation?

When you live in Scottsdale, you quickly find out breast implants are more the norm than the minority. And unfortunately, they still get quite a bad rep. But a subtle enhancement and knowing how to tastefully show them off is a whole different ball game. Today’s guest post shows us how to dress the part after an enhancement.
Guest post by aboutplasticsurgery.com
Breast implants bring a lot of changes for a woman. Of course, the obvious change is entirely physical, which can improve a woman’s confidence, and can also alter her life socially in a variety of different ways. However, there are also some other adjustments that people do not always think about in advance, and that aren’t mentioned on relevant websites such as AboutPlasticSurgery. For example, will a breast enlargement require you to dress differently or to buy new clothes in order to support your changed body?

A subtle enhancement can be tasteful
The simple answer is, yes and no. Enlarging your breasts will involve certain wardrobe consequences, such as a probable need to purchase new bras to support your new size. However, contrary to popular belief, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you also have to buy new tops and shirts. After all, while the change in your breasts will be noticeable, and will enlarge them, the difference is rarely drastic enough to require sizing up in clothing with the exception of bras.
While you will not need to adjust the size of your clothing to support your new breasts, it may be that you will be interested in emphasizing them in the way you dress. Particularly if you have never had large breasts before; this may mean that you will have to purchase some new clothing that shows off your breasts a bit more, so as to be able to style yourself differently. Of course, this choice is purely your own, and depends entirely on what your goal in breast enlargement is, and how you wish to portray yourself following your procedure.

Heidi likely wears the same size top and opts for attention over modesty
It is important to remember, also, that you may want to wait a while after your surgery before changing your wardrobe and showing off your new breasts. This is simply because a certain time period will be required for your new breasts to settle and for you to become used to how they feel and look. Of course, this choice is up to you, but many women find that they are more comfortable if they fully get used to their breasts before they begin to dress to suit them. Either way, you will likely find that you have a lot of flexibility when it comes to dressing after a breast enlargement procedure.
