Feeling a little sparkle this holiday season? It’s almost impossible not to! For me, the thought of glitter, sequins and sparkles sometimes scares me off but when it’s done right, it’s just downright glamorous.

You don’t even have to do all-over sparkle either; there’s plenty of accessories and fun ways to add a bit of glitz and glam to your outfit this holiday season.

1) Robert Rodriguez gold sequin dress 2) Vintage sequin hat 3) Gold miniskirt 4) White sequin dress 5) Jimmy Choo Passport Holder 6) White sparkle pumps 7) Silver sparkle dress 8) Blue glitter heels 9) Shellac Glitter Manicure 10) Sequin party dress
By the way, if you aren’t wanting to splurge there are tons of DIY glitter shoe tutorials I’ve found online. I like this one from The Glitter Guide.
Have you added any sparkle to your wardrobe this season?

When you get engaged, apparently you’re supposed to know two things right away:
1. Your wedding date
2. Your bridal style
You’d think as a style writer I’d know my “bridal style” right? Um, no. I also write for bridal magazines so I should really know, right? Erm, no. So how does one go about discovering your bridal style? Honestly, I was really hoping for a multiple choice quiz à la Glamour. You know the kind:
1. Where is your favorite place for dinner?
A. Modern Steak
B. Applebee’s
C. Lon’s at the Hermosa
D. My parent’s house
Congratulations! If you picked mostly As you’re a modern bride! You should consider a wedding at W Scottsdale and insert-list-of-other-contemporary-wedding-venues-here.
Seriously though, why can’t it be that simple?
(I may or may not be pitching this idea to my editor.)
Until then, it’s all trial and error and by that, I mean pouring over images on blogs, magazines and Pinterest.
I know I’m not a beach bride. I’m probably not a bohemian bride either. Do most women just know these things? I sure don’t. And I’ve had a hell of a time finding what feels like the perfect place for us.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of pretty pictures to get some inspiration going.

Just in time for the holiday season, Stuart Weitzman is opening up shop at Scottsdale Fashion Square December 7. It’s the second in the Valley (the first is at Biltmore Fashion Park) but one of only five stores in the country to carry the Young Hollywood Cares collection, a line co-designed by young starlets like Scarlett Johansson, Hayden Panettiere, Olivia Palmero and Michelle Tractenberg to benefit ovarian cancer research.

Can you guess which celeb designed which shoe?? I’ll post the answers later this week!

I love socks. There are so many different kinds and so many ways to wear them that I feel they’re quite the under-appreciated fashion item. This fall, get creative with your favorite pairs and style them with boots. Here’s some looks to get your gears going.

Are you rocking socks and boots this season?
