Best travel beauty products

When I travel, I tend to pack an absurd amount of things. I’m positive I’m not alone on this. After all, there’s just about nothing worse than reaching your destination and craving that one shirt you just so happened to not pack.

So when it comes to my makeup and beauty products, I try to go minimal so I can maximize the space for more outfits. Once you’ve determined what to pack for that vacay make some time to focus on your beauty products. Here’s my favorite four beauty products for traveling.

1. Bumble & Bumble Dry Shampoo

This teenie bottle packs quite the punch

When you’re traveling, toting around a huge blowdryer and taking the time to bother with a wash every day is a total pain. I like to start my trips by checking into one of the Valley’s blowdry bars like DryBar or Park Avenue Blow Dry for a blowout that will last me a good two days. But a longer trip like my European cruise requires some hair powder. For everyday use, I’ve recommended Tresemme Dry Shampoo but for special occasions, nothing beats Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder. And, it comes in the cutest travel-friendly 1 oz. size.

2. Oil blotting sheets

I’ve mentioned Too Faced and Clean & Clear oil blotting sheets in my list of 5 summer skincare secrets and there’s good reason! They get the job done and are a travel essential since you’ll be exposed to a completely different kind of climate.

3. Lather Shine Control Face Lotion

When you live in the desert, pretty much everywhere else is considered somewhat humid. That’s why a shine control lotion like this one from Lather is an essential to pack. It’ll help combat oily skin so you’ll have less photoshop retouching to do later.

4. Anything from 3floz.com

If you aren’t familiar with the website 3floz.com let me enlighten you: it’s chock-full of beauty goodies, all under travel size regulations. That’s under 3 fl. oz. or less! You’ll find awesome brands like Murad, DDF and Phyto. It’s also a great way to sample new things for the comittment-phobe.

Travel tip: I actually keep all my travel size beauty essentials in a Too Faced cosmetics bag so whenever I’m going on vacay, it’s already packed and ready to go!

If I am flying I have to have an extra moisturizing hand sanitizer like Gold Bond Hand Sanitizing Moisturizer or the one made by 3M. (anything to avoid touching the bathroom door knobs and faucets)
The other must have is Evian Mineral Water Spray. I hate that Greasy AND Dry feeling your face gets with all of that recirculated air and this is a huge help.

Yes! I totally forgot some travel spray for this trip but like it too. Haven’t tried Gold Bond hand sanitizing yet, I like to pick up the mini scented ones from Bath & Body Works.
