Chic nail salons at affordable prices seem to be popping up everywhere these days–and I couldn’t be happier. The New Kid on the Block is terés in Old Town Scottsdale, where I was recently invited to for a sneak preview and much-needed manicure.
When you walk into terés, the vibe is immediately peaceful and calming. A row of plush bench seating lines the back wall where you can get your feet and toes generously attended to. And the apothecary wall stocked with therapeutic remedies is an inventive blending of the nail salon and spa experience.
terés bills itself as a “Nail Bar” which is why when you walk in you’ll be handed a Bar Tab where you can pick your services. Start with the basics (I got myself a Gel Manicure) and then pick your add-on luxuries. Think: sumptuous sugar scrubs, paraffin dip treatments, age-defying serums, hot stone massages and soothing bath soaks, just to name a few.
Once you pick your luxury, you can add on a therapeutic treatment too: Herbal Detox, Immune Boost, Stress Relief, Muscle Tension Relief-the list will almost make you forget you’re at a nail salon!
The best way to save is by becoming a member; you’ll be billed $25/month and the charge will go toward your service of choice. Don’t worry about forgetting and losing your cash either; terés will call you and remind you to make an appointment if the month is almost up and you haven’t used your credit yet.
Check it out for yourself this Thursday, I’ve got your exclusive Grand Opening invitation below. Music, cocktails and express treatments are just some of the goodies that you’ll get.
