For our wedding, I almost didn’t bother with a wedding favor. I hated the idea of spending money and time making something that people would toss on their way out. Let’s be honest, no one wants a little picture frame with my wedding date on it or almonds that end in the trash. I really wanted something meaningful or to not bother at all.

After plenty of time spent on Pinterest and the wedding blogs, I felt inspired by the idea of creating a spice rub/seasoning for our guests! My hubby and I both love to cook and he in particular loves finding recipes for new rubs and seasonings to try.

I am not at all and have never been much of a DIY gal. But a DIY Spice Rub Wedding Favor I figured was somewhat manageable. It was fun to do, a personal touch and our guests loved it. Here’s how to do it yourself.

Materials:

• Empty Glass Canister Jar
• Cardstock (I went to my local Michael’s for some shimmery pink cardstock)
• EK Paper Punch (I used EK Success Tools Punch, Real Estate Sign)
• Lace/trim of choice
• Hot glue gun
• Awesome spice rub recipe (Don’t have one? Try this tasty Chicken Danomyte Rub)
