{Wedding Wednesday} What to Wear to the Bridal Expo

If you caught my last episode of Behind the Veil, I dole out some tips for surviving your first Bridal Expo and a few fashion tips, too. If you’ve just gotten engaged or are in the midst of planning your wedding, chances are you’re planning on stopping by the Bridal Expo at some point. So let me just prepare you a bit: it’s going to be a LONG day. Plan accordingly. Here’s a few ways to stay stylish and be practical, too.

Some flat sandals and a summer dress are a great way to be stylish and comfortable. By all means, take a giant tote or at the very least, a great crossbody bag like this Tory Burch Mini Messenger. You’ll be getting lots of flyers to stow away and your arms will be aching!

{Jeans (similar): AG Adriano Goldschmied. Cardigan: Diane von Furstenberg. Blouse: A.L.C. Shoes (similar): Bensimon. Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs.}

Not a dress girl? No sweat. Try out one of this season’s hottest jean trends, cropped jeans. Look for flats that have some good padding inside since you’ll be doing plenty of walking and standing around throughout the day.

Cliff notes:

  • Make a wedding specific email! It’s my No. 1 tip.
  • Print a few business cards in advance to drop off with vendors.
  • Bring a tote or cross-body bag to stow all your flyers!
  • Don’t try and talk to everyone, you’ll never finish.
