This weekend, I took my boyfriend to the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort to celebrate his birthday. We got cocktails, laid around in the lazy river and it got me thinking about poolside glamor. Or, more specifically, the lack thereof.

More often than not, people wait around for glamorous events when really, glamor is what you make of it– wherever you want, whenever you want! But unless you’re at a resort like the above, there seems to be a huge lack of style and glamor at most any Scottsdale pool party.

I’m pretty sure these guys could write the book on how to dress like a douchebag or how to dress tacky. And sure, it’s just the pool. But, why wait for a resort vacay to look stylish and chic?
