Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. 
So, let’s be honest.
This “holiday” is stressful. Most men hate it. Most women end up disappointed.
Romance is fine, but a candy/chocolates and heart-shaped-everything girl I am not. And I’m sure you’re not either. So, here’s some Valentine’s Day gift ideas that don’t suck. i.e., for those of you looking to get something that’s actually cool and not a total cliche.
Lesson #1: It doesn’t have to be pink. I like pink just as much as the next girl, except when it starts to vomit on everything. No, I don’t need pink power tools. And if it’s cute and totally awesome yes, you can buy it for V-day, even if it isn’t pink or red.
Lesson #2: Nobody really likes heart-shaped. O.K. this isn’t totally true. People with tacky taste totally heart it. No pun intended.
Lesson #3: You can’t go wrong with sparkle. Ever.
Lesson #4: Little Blue Boxes go a long way. But if you can get a bigger bang for your buck elsewhere, that’s totally O.K. too. I’d much rather have something totally amazing than a sterling silver something or other that every girl in town is wearing.
Lesson #5: Shoes and bags are perfect for any gift giving occasion. Really. Commit that to memory.
Bonus: Sure, women do like lingerie. Just make sure you get the right size. Seriously. Too big or too small could totally blow up in your face so sneak a peak at the sizing of something she already owns and comitt it to memory. Worried your pick might be too racy? Play it safe just in case.
